Adhesives & Grouts
A range of cementicious adhesives and grouts giving branded performance at DIY store own brand prices.
- Uncalibrated slates, porcelain tiles and any tile being fixed to a subfloor subject to horizontal (heated) or vertical (overboarded) movement or deflection will require a flexible adhesive.

Limestone will require a white adhesive.

Anhydrite/Calcium Sulphate/Pumped Screeds are increasingly popular and may appear 'standard' but infact can react to the cement in an adhesive and cause de-bonding!Check your screed is fully dry and prime before fixing.

Skimmed Plaster has a tile weight limit of approx 18kg/m2. It is unlikely that anything(limestone, travertine, slate, porcelain) requiring a cement adhesive will be suitable for installation. Discuss your tiling requirements with your builder BEFORE skimming.

Plasterboard has a weight limit of 32kg/m2, but will require priming when tiled with limestone, porcelain etc.

All floorboards will need to be reinforced/overboarded with ply or proprietory tile board(Marmox or similar).
