The inspiration for these tiles come from the medieval tiles on the floors of Westminster Abey,Winchester Cathedral and Clarendon Palace.The coloured design is inlaid (encaustic) into the clay body ensuring durability and longevity.Unlike medieval tiles they are then finished with a lustrous glaze that ensures they are easy to maintain and clean.They can be used as insets in a main floor area,as a threshold border,skirting,shelf-top or as wall tiling.The tiles are high fired and frost-resistant:uses therefore would include porches and terraces.
